HISTORY

                              In 1966, under the direction of Fr Cyprian Mulleparambil, a Lower Primary School began functioning in connection with St Mary’s Church, North Edakochi. The school aimed to provide education for the children of poor families in the vicinity who had to travel long distances to attend school. This initiative was a blessing as it addressed the issue of many children not being able to access education.

Initially, the school was established inside the church premises and later relocated to a thatched shed. It started as a single-teacher school. Eventually, the school expanded and operated within two thatched buildings. The foundation stone for the school building, which is currently in use, was laid on March 30, 1999. The construction work was completed, and the school started functioning on April 14, 2000.
